A warm Italian sunset reflects off the deep red paint of a sleek convertible slipping through the Amalfi coast. A young couple rides in silent confidence. The woman in a flowing dress, the man in a suit with a Rolex glinting on his wrist, adjusting his sunglasses as the golden hour bathes the landscape. They're not celebrities. They're not famous, but they live like the elite. Maybe the Ferrari Portofino they're driving is borrowed because they’re visiting from another country for the weekend. Coming from a wedding, or maybe a Milanese fashion show, either way, they look like they belong. Not because of the car, but because of their poise. Their presence. That’s what the Ferrari Portofino represents: a gateway not just into wealth, but into style, class, and unforgettable moments.

The Ferrari Portofino

Unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show and released in 2018, the Portofino replaced the Ferrari California T as Ferrari’s entry-level grand tourer. But “entry-level” hardly applies to this masterpiece. The Portofino was engineered for those who wanted a car that could handle both Riviera roads and red carpets. A perfect fusion of performance and everyday elegance. It’s named after the picturesque fishing village of Portofino, Italy, a place synonymous with beauty and leisure.

Under the hood, the Portofino houses a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing 591 horsepower. It goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 199 mph. The car’s weight is approximately 3,668 pounds, making it light enough for agility while still offering comfort for long-distance drives.

At its release, the base price was around $215,000 , but with customization, as every Ferrari should be, that figure often reached $250,000. Today, depending on condition and mileage, a used Portofino can range from $180,000 to $240,000, while the newer Portofino M (Modificata) variant, introduced in 2020, starts closer to $230,000.

The Portofino M added even more thrill: a boost to 612 horsepower, improved aerodynamics, and an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. The same found in Ferrari’s mid-engine monsters like the F8 Tributo. It signaled that the “M” wasn’t just a refresh…… it was a true performance upgrade, without sacrificing the car’s grand touring roots.

Culturally, the Portofino has become the Ferrari of choice for those who want luxury with restraint. It’s been featured in influencer road trips across Europe, YouTube vlogs of high-end lifestyle creators, and discreetly parked outside Michelin-starred restaurants from Monte Carlo to Manhattan. It’s not the car you buy to show off, it’s the car you drive when you’ve already made it and have nothing to prove.

The Ferrari Portofino

There’s something poetic about the Portofino. It doesn’t scream for attention. It seduces. It’s an invitation to drive fast, but to live beautifully. And that’s the real aspiration. To build a life so rich in vision and execution that you no longer need to chase dreams. You just drive through them. If you’re inspired by this machine, let it fuel you. Not for materialism’s sake, but for the discipline, risk, and creativity it takes to reach that level. Remember: wealth is a language. Learn its grammar, speak it fluently, and doors open. Want to become the type of person who takes a Portofino through Tuscany at sunset?
Metaphoric advice: Live your life like a Ferrari engine: polished and finely tuned, graceful and mature, and unapologetically powerful.
Tangible advice: Start with by understanding that making money is a subject you study just like any other subject. The first book that I ever read on money was rich dad poor dad just like everyone else but i learned a valuable lesson which was buy and build assets. Start by mastering one skill (like copywriting, marketing, or logistics), scale it then use profits to buy assets. That’s the start of the game. Don’t wait for luck, build leverage. If you want to drive a car like this one day, I’m rooting for you! (Lookout for Monday’s newsletter)
